Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification:
- For 05 Posts (Planning Board): Master’s Degree with 50% marks in Economics, Agricultural Economics, or Commerce.
- For 11 Posts (Statistics Directorate): Master’s Degree with 50% marks in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Statistics, or Commerce (with Statistics as a paper).
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of work experience in economic planning, research, or statistical work in a Govt/PSU/University setting.
- Language Requirement: Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th) with Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject.
2. Age Limit (as of Jan 1, 2026):
- Minimum: 18 Years.
- Maximum: 37 Years.
- Relaxation: Up to 42 years for SC/BC of Punjab, 45 years for Govt employees, and 47 years for PwD.

Selection Process
- Written Competitive Examination: Consists of 120 Questions (480 Marks).
- 100 Questions from the Subject (Economics/Statistics).
- 20 Questions from General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, and Mental Ability.
- Interview: Only for shortlisted candidates.
- Note: There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.
