Eligibility Criteria & Essential Parameters
1. Age Limit Parameters (As on 1st January 2027)
- Lower Age Limit: 18 to 21 Years (depending on the specific post)
- Upper Age Limit (UR/EWS): Ranges between 30 to 40 Years depending on the post.

- Nursing Superintendent: B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized University/Institute OR regular GNM Course with a certificate as a Registered Nurse and Midwife.
- Pharmacist (Entry Grade): Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) with registration under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.
- Health & Malaria Inspector Gr II: B.Sc. with Chemistry as main/optional subject plus a 1-year Diploma of Health/Sanitary Inspector.
- Laboratory Assistant Gr. II: 10+2 in Science with a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT).
- Radiographer / X-Ray Technician: 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry, plus a 2-year Diploma in Radiography / X-Ray Technician / Radiodiagnosis Technology.
- ECG Technician: 10+2 / Graduation in Science with a Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in ECG Laboratory Technology / Cardiology.
Selection Process Structure
- Computer-Based Test (CBT): Objective-type multiple-choice examination evaluating professional subject knowledge, general awareness, arithmetic, general intelligence, and general science.
- Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates based on CBT merit are called for verification of original academic, professional registration, and identity documents.
- Medical Examination: Final clearance requires meeting strict medical standards prescribed for railway medical personnel (primarily C-1 medical category standards).
