Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification:
    • Engineering: B.E. / B.Tech or M.E. / M.Tech in relevant branches.
    • Science: Post Graduate Degree (M.Sc.) in Basic Sciences.
    • Medical/Pharmacy: MBBS or B.Pharm / M.Pharm.
  • National Level Test (Mandatory for ₹37k): Candidates must have qualified in GATE, CSIR-UGC NET, or other National level examinations conducted by central government departments like DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, or ICMR.
  • Non-NET/GATE: Candidates without NET/GATE may be considered for “Project Associate” roles at a lower fellowship (approx. ₹25,000 – ₹31,000).

DST INSPIRE Fellowship 2026

The DST INSPIRE portal is expected to release the call for AORC (Assured Opportunity for Research Careers) in early 2026 for 1st Rank holders of Universities.

  • Eligibility: 1st Rank holders in M.Sc/B.Tech/MBBS/B.Pharm at the University level.
  • Status: Check portal regularly at online-inspire.gov.in.

How to Apply

  1. For Project JRF: Identify the project advertisement on the official website of the host institute (e.g., iitbhu.ac.in or nits.ac.in).
  2. Submit Application: Usually requires sending a single PDF containing a CV, Marksheets, and GATE/NET scorecard to the Principal Investigator (PI) via email.
  3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an online or offline interview.
