Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB – 3 Year or 5 Year integrated course) from a university recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
  • Age Limit (as of 01.08.2026):
    • Minimum: 21 Years
    • Maximum (UR Male): 37 Years
    • Maximum (UR Female/BC/EBC): 40 Years
    • Maximum (SC/ST): 42 Years
    • Note: Candidates who were within the age limit between 01.08.2020 and 01.08.2026 may also be eligible as per special age relaxation norms.

Selection Process

  1. Preliminary Exam: Objective Type (General Studies – 100 marks, Law – 150 marks).
  2. Mains Exam: Descriptive Type (8 Papers including Hindi, English, and Law subjects).
  3. Interview: Viva-voce (100 Marks).

Application Fee

  • General / OBC / Other State: ₹100/-
  • SC / ST / Female (Bihar Domicile): ₹100/-
  • Biometric Fee: Additional ₹200/- (if Aadhaar number is not provided).

  1. Visit the official portal: onlinebpsc.bihar.gov.in.
  2. Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) if you are a new user.
  3. Log in and fill out the BPSC APO application form with your LLB details and personal info.
  4. Upload your scanned photo, signature, and relevant documents.
  5. Pay the application fee online via Net Banking, Debit, or Credit Card.
  6. Submit and download the final application for your records.

  • Last Date to Apply & Pay Fee: 20 March 2026 (11:59 PM)
  • Prelims Exam Date: Tentatively 15 July 2026
