UPPCB Recruitment 2026 – Apply for 40 Assistant Environmental Engineer & Scientific Officer Posts

The Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) is inviting online applications from eligible Indian citizens for recruitment to 40 temporary (likely to be permanent) posts of Assistant Environmental Engineer (AEE) and Assistant Scientific Officer (ASO). Eligibility Criteria

• Assistant Environmental Engineer (AEE):
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering (or Chemical Technology) from a recognized University.
  • Equivalent: AMIE in relevant branches is also acceptable.
• Assistant Scientific Officer (ASO):
  • Option 1: Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, or Biochemistry with 3 years of experience in the environment/pollution/public health sector.
  • Option 2: Master’s Degree in the above subjects with 5 years of relevant experience.

Age Limit (as of 01.07.2025)

• Minimum: 21 Years
• Maximum: 40 Years
• Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/OBC of Uttar Pradesh and 15 years for PwD candidates.

Selection Process (Conducted by IIT Kanpur)

1. Stage I: Computer Based Test (CBT) – 400 Marks
   • Objective-type questions covering technical subjects and general aptitude.
   • Marking: +4 for correct, -1 for wrong answer.
2. Stage II: Interview – 70 Marks
   • Merit list for the interview will be prepared based on CBT scores.
3. Final Selection: Total marks out of 470.

• General / OBC: ₹2000/-
• SC / ST: ₹1000/-
• PwD: NIL (Exempted)

1. Visit the official website: www.uppcb.up.gov.in.
2. Click on the link “Assistant Environmental Engineer and Assistant Scientific Officer Examination-2026”.
3. Complete the registration using a valid Email and Mobile number to generate a Portal Registration Number.
4. Fill in the application form, ensuring your Post Applied and Caste details are accurate (they cannot be changed after final submission).
5. Upload your photo, signature, and educational certificates.
6. Pay the fee via the online payment gateway and print the final application form.
