Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit (as of 01.01.2026): 18 to 45 Years.
- Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/OBC and PwD candidates of Himachal Pradesh.
- Bonafide Resident: Candidates must be Bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh or have passed Matric/10+2 from an institute within HP.
Salary Structure
- Most posts are under the HP Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, typically ranging from Level-3 to Level-11 (Approx. ₹20,200 – ₹64,000 depending on the post).
Selection Process (HPRCA New Pattern)
- Written Examination (CBT/OMR): 100 Marks (Objective Type).
- Skill Test: Required for Clerk (Typing) and Steno (Shorthand) posts (Qualifying nature).
- Document Verification: Based on the merit of the written exam.
- Note: No personal interview for Group C and D posts as per State Govt. policy.

- General / EWS: ₹400/-
- SC / ST / OBC / BPL (HP): ₹100/-
- Female / Ex-SM (HP): NIL (Exempted)
How to Apply (Online Mode)
- Visit the official HPRCA portal: hprca.hp.gov.in.
- Click on “Apply Online” and complete your One-Time Registration (OTR).
- Fill in the application form and select the post code(s) you are eligible for.
- Upload scanned copies of your photo, signature, and HP Bonafide certificate.
- Pay the fee online and download the confirmation page.
