AIBE XXI (21) 2026 Notification – Online Registration, Exam Date (June 7), Eligibility & Fees

The Bar Council of India (BCI) has officially released the schedule for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) XXI for the year 2026. This mandatory certification exam is required for all law graduates who wish to receive the “Certificate of Practice” (CoP) and practice law in Indian courts.

​The online application process has started on February 11, 2026. Candidates are advised to read the eligibility criteria and complete their registration before the deadline of April 30, 2026.

2. Application Fee Structure

3. Eligibility Criteria

• ​Educational Qualification: Must possess a 3-year or 5-year LLB degree from a BCI-recognized university.
• ​Final Year Students: Final semester students with no backlogs from previous semesters are also eligible to apply.
• ​State Bar Enrollment: Candidates should be enrolled as an Advocate with any State Bar Council.
• ​Age Limit: There is no age limit to appear for the AIBE exam.
• ​Attempts: There is no limit on the number of attempts.

​4. Exam Pattern at a Glance

• ​Mode of Exam: Offline (OMR-based).
• ​Duration: 3.5 Hours.
• ​Type of Questions: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
• ​Open Book Exam: Candidates are allowed to carry Bare Acts (without notes) inside the exam hall.
• ​Negative Marking: There is No Negative Marking.

2. ​Click on the “Register” button to create your login credentials.
3. ​Fill in your Personal, Academic, and State Bar Council Enrollment details.
4. ​Upload your scanned Photograph, Signature, and LLB Marksheet/Certificate.
5. ​Pay the application fee online through the payment gateway.
6. ​Submit the form and take a printout of the confirmation page.
