The CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (CSIR-IMMT), Bhubaneswar, has officially released the recruitment notification (Advt. No. 02/2026) for the post of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS).

The online application portal is now active as of March 23, 2026, and will remain open until April 21, 2026.

CSIR-IMMT, a premier national laboratory under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, is looking for motivated Indian citizens to join its administrative support team. These are regular Central Government positions that offer long-term stability and growth within the CSIR ecosystem.

Note: 01 post is reserved horizontally for Ex-Servicemen. The upper age limit is calculated as of April 21, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Essential Qualification: Matriculation (10th Class) or equivalent pass from a recognized board.
  • Desirable: Intermediate (12th Class) pass.
  • Age Relaxation:
    • ST: 5 Years
    • PwBD: 10 Years (15 years if ST)
    • Ex-Servicemen: As per Government of India rules.
    • Widows/Divorced Women: Up to 35 years (40 years for ST).

Selection Process

  1. Shortlisting: The Institute may use higher qualifications or a preliminary screening test to limit the number of candidates.
  2. Written Examination: An objective-type test (OMR or Computer Based) consisting of 150 questions.
    • Duration: 2 Hours
    • Marking: +3 for each correct answer; -1 for each incorrect answer.
    • Subjects: General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, and English Language.
  3. Final Merit: Based strictly on the marks obtained in the written exam.

  1. Visit the official IMMT recruitment portal: recruitment.immt.res.in.
  2. Click on the “Apply Online” link for Advertisement No. 02/2026.
  3. Register with your email and mobile number.
  4. Upload Documents: You must merge all required certificates (10th Marksheet, Caste Certificate, ID Proof, etc.) into a single PDF file (less than 5 MB).
  5. Upload your photo and signature (each less than 50 KB).
  6. Pay the fee (if applicable) and submit the form. No hard copy needs to be sent by post.
