HPSC Planning Officer Recruitment 2026: Apply Online For Group B Posts – Salary Level 9 – Check Eligibility & Exam Pattern

HPSC has released Advt No. 25/2026 for the recruitment of Planning Officers. This is a specialized technical role responsible for urban development and town planning across Haryana. Eligible candidates with a background in Planning or Architecture can apply starting from March 21, 2026.

Vacancy Details & Salary

Total Vacancies: 08 Posts (General: 05, SC of Hry: 01, BC-A of Hry: 01, EWS: 01).
Pay Scale: ₹53,100 – ₹1,67,800 (Pay Matrix Level 9).
Expected Gross Salary: Approx. ₹75,000 – ₹82,000 per month including HRA and DA.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification:

Degree: A Bachelor’s degree in Planning or Architecture from a recognized University/Institute.
OR: A Post Graduate degree in City/Town/Regional/Urban Planning from a recognized University/Institute.
Language Requirement: Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Matric (10th) or Higher Education.

2. Age Limit (as of April 11, 2026):

Minimum Age: 20 Years.
Maximum Age: 42 Years.
Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/BC of Haryana and as per government rules for PwD/ESM.

Selection Process

The selection will be conducted in three stages:

Screening Test: MCQs based on the subject and general aptitude (if the number of applicants is high).
Subject Knowledge Test: A descriptive exam focusing on Town Planning, Urban Design, and Housing.
Interview/Viva-Voce: To assess the candidate’s personality and professional suitability (Weightage: 12.5%).
