WBJEE 2026 Notification Released – Apply Online, Exam Date & Pattern Details

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has officially released the Information Bulletin for WBJEE 2026. This state-level entrance examination is the gateway for admission into various undergraduate Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, and Architecture courses across colleges in West Bengal for the 2026-27 academic session.

Important Exam Schedule

Exam Date: May 24, 2026 (Sunday)
Paper-I (Mathematics): 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Paper-II (Physics & Chemistry): 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Eligibility Criteria

Citizenship: Must be a citizen of India or an OCI (Overseas Citizen of India).
Education: Passed or appearing in 10+2 (Higher Secondary) examination in 2026 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
Age Limit: Minimum 17 years as of December 31, 2026. (Born on or before Dec 31, 2009). Note: For Marine Engineering, max age is 25 years.

Exam Pattern & Scoring

The test consists of MCQs divided into three categories:

Category 1: 1 Mark per correct answer (-1/4 negative marking).
Category 2: 2 Marks per correct answer (-1/2 negative marking).
Category 3: 2 Marks per correct answer (No negative marking; multiple options may be correct).

Visit the official website: wbjeeb.nic.in.
Register using basic personal details (ensure they match your school certificates exactly).
Fill in the application form, including category, domicile, and academic details.
Upload a recent color photograph (10-200 KB) and signature (4-30 KB) in JPG/JPEG format.
Pay the application fee via Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or UPI.
Download the Confirmation Page to ensure your application is submitted successfully.

Ans: No, there is no upper age limit for most courses, except for Marine Engineering (max 25 years).

Q2: How are the merit lists generated?

Ans: Two merit lists are generated:

GMR (General Merit Rank): Used for all Engineering/Technology/Architecture courses.
PMR (Pharmacy Merit Rank): Used for Pharmacy admissions.

Q3: Can I modify my details after submission?

Ans: Basic details like name and date of birth cannot be modified after final submission. Please be extremely careful during registration.
