India Post, under the Ministry of Communications, has invited applications for the recruitment of Skilled Artisans in the Mail Motor Service (MMS) units. These are permanent Central Government positions offering stable careers for technical hands.

Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification:
- A Certificate in the respective trade from any Technical Institution recognized by the Govt. OR VIII (8th) Standard pass with at least one year of experience in the relevant trade.
- For the post of Motor Vehicle Mechanic, the candidate should possess a valid Driving License (HMV) to drive heavy vehicles.
- Age Limit (as of 01.07.2026): 18 to 30 Years.
- Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.
Selection Process
- Trade Test: Selection will be made from amongst the candidates possessing the requisite qualifications and valid driving license (where applicable) through a competitive Trade Test.
- The test will assess the candidate’s practical knowledge in their respective trade.

- Download the application form from the official India Post website.
- Fill in the application in the prescribed format (A4 size paper).
- Attach self-attested copies of:
- Age proof (Birth Certificate/10th Marksheet).
- Educational & Technical qualifications.
- Trade Experience certificate.
- Driving License (for MV Mechanic).
- Caste Certificate (if applicable).
- Submission: Send the application form via Speed Post or Registered Post only to the address of the respective Senior Manager/Manager of Mail Motor Service mentioned in the official PDF.
