Eligibility Criteria & Essential Qualifications
1. Educational Requirements
- Tax Assistant (TA): Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent qualification. Must possess a data entry speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour.
- Stenographer Grade-II: 12th Class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University.
- Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): Matriculation (10th Standard) or equivalent pass from a recognized board.
2. Age Limit Parameters (As on 1st January 2026)
- Tax Assistant & Stenographer Grade-II: 18 to 27 Years
- Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): 18 to 25 Years
- Age Relaxations: Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for General/OBC candidates and up to 10 years for SC/ST candidates as per guidelines issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
3. Sports Eligibility Standards (As per DoPT Guidelines)
Candidates must have represented:
- An international competition representing the country; OR
- A National competition in a national championship conducted by the concerned National Sports Federation or Inter-University Sports Board; OR
- State teams in national sports tournaments/games; OR
- Khelo India Youth Games / University Games / Winter Games / Para Games organized by the Sports Authority of India (SAI).
- Mandatory Certification: Sports achievements must be supported by certificates issued in the prescribed formats (Form 1, Form 2, Form 3, Form 4, or Form 5) signed by the designated competent authorities.
Salary Structure & Compensation Package
- Tax Assistant & Stenographer Grade-II: Pay Level 4 under the 7th CPC Pay Matrix ranging from ₹25,500 to ₹81,100/-. Initial starting basic pay is ₹25,500/- plus admissible Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and transport allowances.
- Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): Pay Level 1 under the 7th CPC Pay Matrix ranging from ₹18,000 to ₹56,900/-.
- Additional Benefits: New Pension Scheme (NPS) coverage, medical facilities, leave travel concessions, and promotional career progression paths as per central government norms.
Selection Process & Evaluation Procedure
The selection of candidates is strictly merit-based, evaluating sports performance followed by professional trade/skill tests:
- Scrutiny & Sports Merit Evaluation: Evaluation of sports certificates and achievements based on the order of preference specified by DoPT guidelines.
