Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Become an RBI Manager?

The RBI maintains high standards for its direct recruits. Ensure you meet every parameter below before paying the application fee.

1. Educational Qualification (As of Notification Date)

  • General Stream: Graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) or a Post-Graduation degree with 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD) in aggregate of all semesters/years.
  • DEPR Stream: A Master’s Degree in Economics / Econometrics / Quantitative Economics / Finance, with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for reserved).

  • General Category: Maximum 6 attempts for the Phase 1 examination.
  • SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/EWS: No limit on attempts (within the age limit).
