2. Eligibility Criteria (For Jan 2027 Batch)

A. Educational Qualification

• Degree: Candidates must have passed the requisite Engineering Degree course or be in the final year of the Engineering Degree course.
• Final Year Students: Candidates studying in the final year must be able to produce proof of passing the Engineering Degree examination along with marksheets of all semesters/years by 01 Jan 2027.

B. Age Limit (As on 01 Jan 2027)

• Minimum Age: 20 Years.
• Maximum Age: 27 Years.
• DOB Range: Candidates should be born between 02 Jan 2000 and 01 Jan 2007 (both dates inclusive).

C. Marital Status

• Only Unmarried Male candidates are eligible to apply for the Technical Graduate Course.

3. Salary, Stipend & Rank

Selected candidates are commissioned as Lieutenants upon successful completion of training.

• Stipend during Training: ₹56,100 per month (at IMA Dehradun).
• Pay Scale (Lieutenant): Level 10 (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500).
• Military Service Pay (MSP): ₹15,500 per month (fixed).
• Allowances: Dearness Allowance, Kit Maintenance Allowance, High Altitude Allowance (based on posting), and specialized technical allowances.

4. Selection Process: Direct SSB Interview

The TGC entry does not require a written exam. The selection is based on your academic performance.

1. Shortlisting: The Indian Army fixes a cutoff percentage for each engineering stream. Only candidates meeting the cutoff will be invited for the SSB.
2. SSB Interview: A 5-day process at Selection Centres (Allahabad, Bhopal, Bangalore, or Jalandhar).
