Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
1. Educational Qualifications
- Medical Officer (Assistant Commandant): MBBS degree from a recognized university/institution included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, with completion of a compulsory rotating internship and a valid Medical Council Registration.
- Specialist Medical Officer (Deputy Commandant): MBBS degree plus a Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in the relevant medical specialty from a recognized university.
- Super Specialist Medical Officer (Second-in-Command): MBBS degree, Post Graduate Degree/Diploma, along with a DM/MCh or equivalent super-specialty qualification.
2. Age Limits (As on Closing Date)
- Medical Officer: Maximum 30 Years
- Specialist Medical Officer: Maximum 40 Years
- Super Specialist Medical Officer: Maximum 50 Years
- Age Relaxations: Upper age limits are relaxed for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC), central government civilian employees, and ex-servicemen in accordance with Government of India rules.

Selection Process
The multi-stage selection methodology includes:
- Documentation Verification: Initial screening of academic degree certificates, medical council registrations, identity proofs, and category certificates.
- Interview / Personality Test: An extensive interview carrying 200 marks to evaluate clinical proficiency, general awareness, communication capabilities, and suitability for command roles.
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Assessment of height, chest parameters, and basic physical standards.
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME) / Review Medical Examination (RME): Rigorous clinical health screening conducted by an authorized medical board.
